Carl Lauron is founder and CEO of BuyCo. Upon graduating from the Paris School of Mines, Lauron worked as a logistics consultant and held various operational management roles in warehousing, transport, and distribution. In 2007, Carl joined CMA CGM, one of the world’s largest container shipping companies, as Director of Freight Forwarding before being promoted to Vice President of Innovation. During this time, he identified a growing gap between the rapid evolution of digital technologies and the outdated systems used to manage containerized shipping. This insight led him to found BuyCo in 2015. Today, Carl is widely recognized as an expert in global supply chain and maritime logistics. He regularly shares his perspectives on technology, collaboration, and the future of ocean shipping at leading industry conferences and events.
